It has been recently discovered that two new Pokemon names have been
discovered and they are believed to be the names of some new Pokemon for
the Sun and Moon video games. The trademarks for Solgaleo (ソルガレオ) and
Lunaala (ルナアーラ) had been filed back in February.
The website Serebii reported
that the two trademarks were filed by Yusuke Inui, a Japanese IP
instead of by Nintendo themselves, Pokemon, Game Freak or Creatures
since they all are stakeholders of the franchise.
It is possible that Yusuke Inui was a proxy to try and prevent any
leaks of Pokemon Sun and Moon’s logo before they are officially
announced.
As we have seen, major Pokemon Sun and Moon news is currently
promised to be released this May making a lot of fans think that the new
Pokemon Solgaleo and Lunaala might be announced as well.
Download Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon roms for free and play them on your PC , Mac, Nintendo 3DS or mobile device.

Sony, Warner Bros., Legendary Pictures battle for Pokémon movie rights
According to a report posted on The Hollywood Reporter, The Pokémon Company is planning an auction for the Pokémon movie rights, which has led to a massive bidding war between several film studios.
According to the report, American film studios Warner Bros. Entertainment and Sony Pictures Entertainment have expressed interest in possessing the film rights. However, the report mentions that another potential bidder, film financing firm Legendary Pictures, may come out as the potential victor of the bidding war, despite a representative for Legendary declining talks of an offer being put on the table.
Legendary Entertainment's filmography includes box office blockbusters like 300, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Pacific Rim, and the 2014 reboot of Godzilla. Last year, Legendary scored big with the box office behemoth Jurassic World and the critically-acclaimed drama biopic Straight Outta Compton at Universal Studios, who currently has a five-year motion picture financing/distribution agreement with Legendary beginning in 2014.

Finally, The First POKÉMON GO Footage Appears!
Don’t freak out, but it looks like Niantic CEO John Hanke might have revealed the first gameplay footage of the company’s highly-anticipated mobile game, Pokémon Go, at SXSW. The footage has unsurprisingly made its way to the web and you can peep the clip (via YouTuber Eric F) for yourself above.
While many believe that the voice in the video sounds a lot like Hanke, we can’t 100% confirm this is authentic since he doesn’t appear in the clip. That being said, however, this does look like it’s legit, especially when you consider the fact that Pokémon Go will be field tested relatively soon in Japan.
In the short clip, Hanke talks about how monsters will be distributed all over the world, and how each one lives in the habitat that makes the most sense for its type. That means you won’t be finding a Squirtle out in the middle of the desert or Charmander in the sea. The encounter shown in the video features everyone’s favorite grass-type, Ivysaur. When the person who’s running the demo has trouble catching the little critter with a normal Poké Ball, they go into their inventory and switch to a Master Ball (why?!) instead. As you can imagine, it works like a charm.
Based on the footage shown, it looks like switching the ball type will be an important aspect of the title’s gameplay. It will be interesting to see whether this will play out as a micro-transaction within the game. I also wonder whether the monsters will be able to run away like they do in the RPGs. So many questions!
All-in-all, this project looks promising. What do you think of the footage? Is there anything in particular that caught your eye? Will you be playing this once it releases later this year? Let us know in the comments below.
